The purpose of this contest is to generate a photo library “Focusing On Parish” for use by the Chamber in promoting the Parish Community.
Rules
1. Color or black and white photographs taken in and about the Town or Village of Parish, New York will be accepted (photos taken in 2008 only).
All photos become the property of the GPACC and will not be returned. The photographer will receive recognition for any photo used by the GPACC.
Photos may span any of our seasons and may include such categories as:
People Historical Events Action Landscapes (please, no pets)
2. No more than Five (5) entries per person will be accepted. There is no entry fee.
3. Photographs entered may not be smaller than 4 x 6 or larger than 8 x 10 and must be matted but easily removable.
Entries may be submitted between September 15th and the 30th. (no date stamps or text on photos please.) Photos cannot be previously published.
4. Photos are to be submitted with entry form attached. Place your name, address and phone number and title on the back of photo.
5. Entries may be submitted in person to the GPACC drop point at the Town/Village offices during regular business hours from September 15th - 30th.
6. Eligibility: Resident or prior resident of the Village or Town of Parish. No persons directly or indirectly affiliated with a photographic company are eligible to participate.
Amateurs only.
You are considered a professional if you make one half of your income from photography. All ages are welcome to participate.
7. Three photographs will be selected as First, Second, and Third Place. Cash Awards and certificates will be presented to the winners at the
2008 October Fall Fest on Sat. Oct. 18.
8. Photographs will be judged by a panel of 3 independent judges. The decisions by these judges will be final.
First Prize $100.00 Second Prize $75.00 Third Prize $50.00
